Rick Steve's tours provided us with a personal guide on this tour, she was amazingly knowledgeable and helped us navigate to the must-see areas so we didn't miss out on anything. This place is packed to the brim with art!

Lovre

This medieval museum is built over Roman baths and features the famous tapestries of the Lady and the Unicorn.  This is one of the oldest buildings in Paris.  We had wonderful audio guides for this museum and were able to see it as part of the group tour.

Monet lovers rejoice, this is the place for you.  We also had a personal guide in this museum, giving us background on all the great works contained in this beautiful place.

Le Orangerie

We decided to walk to this museum on some free time.  It was built for the 1900 Exposition and houses the City of Paris museum of Fine Arts.  It is on the Champs-Elysees and is free of charge, making it the perfect stop to satiate afternoon art cravings.

Petite Palais

On its own this hospital turned military museum is huge and fascinating, covering centuries of military history. Within the complex of buildings is also the resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte, located under the golden dome in the church.

Army

In a converted railway station constructed for the 1900 world fair, this museum houses collections of art from 1848-1914. Inside are large collections of Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne and Van Gogh.  If you are and art lover, plan to dedicate some time here, it was one of my favorite stops!
